It’s not just blushing. It’s not just redness. Rosacea can affect nearly every aspect of your life. With aging, uneven skin becomes more common, and patients may struggle to feel confident about their complexions.
What is Rosacea?
Rosacea is a chronic and quite common skin condition, affecting 1 in 20 people. Rosacea is so common that even some well-known public figures have the condition (Bill Clinton, Renee Zellweger, Cameron Diaz, and Prince Harry.) Severity ranges from mild to intense.
Some blush easily or experience a tendency to look flushed, with the condition affecting the central part of the face (nose and cheeks). In others, rosacea may cause visible blood vessels, swelling, or even acne-like skin changes. Eventually, rosacea may be seen permanently on the face.
