What are Forehead Lines?

A large muscle in the forehead called the frontalis muscle allows you to raise your eyebrows. Repetitive contraction of this muscle eventually creates horizontal creases in the skin of the forehead. Genetics does play a role in determining how susceptible an individual is to developing forehead lines. These lines respond very well to injections with neurotoxins such as BOTOX.

What are Frown Lines, Glabellar Lines, or Eleven (11) Lines?

All three of these terms refer to the vertical grooves or skin creases just above the nose and between the eyebrows that arise from frowning or furrowing the brow. Frown lines are well suited to BOTOX injections because only one muscle group (the glabella) is usually responsible.

What are Crow’s Feet?

Crow’s feet, or laugh lines, form around the outer corners of the eyes. In this location, thinner skin is more susceptible to fine lines and wrinkles. Crow’s feet typically respond well to BOTOX injections.

What are Nasolabial Folds? Marionette Lines?

The good news: these creases arise from laughing and smiling! The bad? These prominent skin creases run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. Marionette lines are lower, starting from the corners of the mouth and extending downwards. Dermal fillers, by adding volume within the winkle groove itself, smooth out the appearance of nasolabial folds and marionette lines. What are Lip Wrinkles?

Lip wrinkles are tiny vertical grooves extending from the edges of the lip borders. They are sometimes referred to as lip lines or smoker’s lines.

What are Bunny Lines?

Imagine a rabbit sniffing for food. Bunny lines appear on either side of – and sometimes on the bridge of – the nose and are most noticeable when you scrunch or crinkle your nose or when you squint.
